Dalmarri Incursion

The Primary students are studying our First Nations celebrations as part of their integrated unit. A few weeks ago they had an incursion and "the best day ever"!

Jason from Dalmarri taught the children all about indigenous artefacts… the girls played tapping sticks and the boys played the didgeridoo. Some even had a go at throwing a boomerang. They explored emu eggs, stone axes, shields, a wallaby blanket and so much more!

Then, they painted a mural for St Gabriel’s which symbolises the school as a "meeting place". The children also painted their own journey stones.

Thanks Jason for an incredible incursion that everyone loved!
