The success of the school depends largely on the
financial support of the greater community.
St. Gabriel's receives minimal government funding, therefore
the shortfall needs to be made up through donations and
non-government grants.
St. Gabriel's is a registered charity
and all donations over $2 are tax deductible.

The cost of maintaining each of the Early Intervention Centres is $12,000 per family each year. So that no family will be denied access to this vital program, and no child will be deprived of the gift of speech, this program is provided free to families.
Fully sponsoring or part sponsoring one of our children will help St. Gabriel's to continue to provide this invaluable service.
Salary deduction allows you to donate money directly to St Gabriels School for Hearing Impaired Children and Hear the Children Early Intervention Centre on a regular basis through your salary. Your nominated donation amount is deducted from your gross salary therefore giving a tax advantage.
To assist in setting up your salary deduction please click on the link below to print out the Workplace Giving and payroll deduction authority form. Once completed please hand to your payroll officer for processing.

What is a bequest?
A bequest is simply a gift made through your will, which can be worded to suit your wishes.
A bequest is a wonderful way of providing for the community, in the same way that you provide for your loved ones. Perhaps if you are planning to update your will, or are making a will for the first time, you may consider talking to your lawyer about making a bequest to St. Gabriel's School for Hearing Impaired Children.
How can I leave a bequest in my will?
There are several ways you can leave a bequest to St. Gabriel's. Some of these include:
The Residue
When you have made financial provisions for your family and friends you may
wish to leave the balance to St. Gabriel's.
A Percentage
You may choose to share your estate between a number of individuals and charitable
organisations. By stating a fraction or percentage for each one you can allow
for inflation or possible changes in your estate.
A Specific Sum
You may wish to state a specific sum of money.
An Asset
You may also wish to leave property, or indeed works of art or other assets
from your estate, to St. Gabriel's.
Although you can draft your will yourself, it is advisable to seek advice from a solicitor and to discuss your wishes with your loved ones, so that they understand your intentions.
To make a bequest the following clauses can be used in your will:
Where a residual bequest is intended-
I bequeath to St. Gabriel's School for Hearing Impaired
Children in aid of that institution and for its general purposes, the rest
and residue of my estate, for which the receipt of an authorised officer of
St. Gabriel's School for Hearing Impaired Children shall be sufficient discharge.
For
a specific bequest -
I bequeath to St. Gabriel's School for Hearing Impaired
Children in aid of that institution and for its general purpose, the sum of
$………, for which the receipt of an authorised officer of St. Gabriel's School
for Hearing Impaired Children shall be sufficient discharge.
Please specify if you would prefer that your bequest be used for a specific program such as 'Hear the Children' Early Intervention Centre or St Gabriel's School for Hearing Impaired Children.
When a loved one has past it is instinctive to act to honour that person's memory. In most cases, it's by sending flowers ~ a beautiful way to express your feelings.
But there is another- by making a donation to St Gabriels School for Hearing Impaired Children and Hear the Children Early Intervention Centre - one that will honour the memory of your loved one forever and, at the same time, make a substantial difference to the lives of children with hearing impairment.
A donation in memory of your loved one is more than an expression of your feelings. It is a gift that can help hearing impaired children bridge the gap with their peers, their families, and the wider community by developing intelligible spoken language acquired through listening.
In memory donations are easy to organise, simply ask your Funeral Director, or the next of kin, to place an advertisement in the Funeral Notices that donations be made to St Gabriels School for Hearing Impaired Children and Hear the Children Early Intervention Centre.
